Think Money Group (TMG) is a provider of financial services for those who struggle to manage their money, helping them take control and reach their financial goals. TMG is now home to four innovative, market-leading financial technology and service businesses: thinkmoney banking; lending specialists Ocean Finance; financial fitness app CredAbility; and Financial Wellness Group, which provides debt advice, solutions and support to help its customers live more and stress less.

Sales & marketing:

  • We worked closely with management during our investment to review and implement new regulatory guidelines, which led to the introduction of enhanced financial and regulatory systems to the business.
  • TMG broadened its product offering to include individual voluntary arrangements (IVAs), loan and remortgage broking and bank accounts.
  • This was complemented by extensive development and diversification of customer acquisition channels, specifically including the development of a substantial online route to market.

In 2007 we realised TMG to Alchemy Partners, delivering a return of 15.6x and an IRR of 103%.
