We’re delighted to welcome Louis Jans to our team as Investment Associate. Louis’ role will involve originating and working on new investments, as well as supporting management teams in the ECI portfolio.
Louis joins from global investment bank, Houlihan Lokey, where he was a technology sector specialist focusing on software, data and analytics, edtech and tech-enabled services. He has previously worked with ECI, including on the investment into Ciphr, a specialist provider of SaaS HR, payroll, recruitment and learning software, in 2020. On the sellside his experience includes the sale of a minority stake in Twinkl, a leading provider of supplemental education resources, the sale of With Intelligence, a global provider of data, intelligence and connections to the global asset management industry, and the sale of Educaedu, a Spanish marketing services provider focused on the education and training sectors.
This new appointment comes hot on the heels of ECI’s recently announced investment in Commify, the European leader of business messaging solutions, and the final closing of its latest fund ECI 12, at the £1bn hard cap. Being a multi-lingual Belgian national, speaking Dutch, English and French, Louis’ language skills will be an additional benefit to ECI’s management teams with European operations.
