I work in ECI’s Commercial Team to support our management teams in unlocking growth opportunities by offering hands-on support as they need it. I’ve been lucky to work with the teams at Tusker, Travel Chapter, Ciphr, BCN Group and MiQ.
I also lead our People function which involves driving the people agenda across the portfolio and managing much of the HR-related functions internally here at ECI.
Prior to joining ECI, I worked in strategy consulting for nearly 10 years, first at Roland Berger and later at EY-Parthenon. Before all that, I was on the Argos graduate scheme. A particular memory was my stint as a deputy store manager during Christmas – hectic to say the least!
I studied history at Cardiff University which included a year as the elected Finance and Commercial Officer of the Student Union.
“As bizarre as it sounds, I can whistle without moving my mouth. It was a great trick to play on teachers back in school who didn’t know who was whistling, but can be annoying for colleagues as I often whistle without realizing I’m doing it!”
“The variety of work at ECI is quite exceptional. Any single day can touch on multiple areas of work, from supporting our portfolio businesses to assessing new investments.”
“While not a ‘proper’ job, I worked on my parents’ farm for most of my school life, driving tractors and lifting hay bales. It was a very different life to the one I lead now in London!
“Fall of Giants by Ken Follet. I studied history at university so read a lot historical fiction today. This book is the first in a trilogy that follows five interrelated families through the 20th century. It’s incredible in its scale and touches on all the major events of the 20th century.”
