I am a Director in the Investment Team at ECI having joined in 2018. My role involves meeting and investing in exciting, market-leading, high growth businesses and their great management teams, as well as supporting that team throughout the investment journey. I am lucky to be involved in investments such as ATG, Bionic, Ciphr, MiQ and Zenergi. I also have the pleasure of heading up the ECI Social Committee, which essentially means organising fun and entertaining events for the team!
Before ECI, I spent 3 years working within the private equity team at Hattington Capital. Prior to that, I worked in the investment team at FPE Capital and in the Financial Markets division for Standard Chartered. I also had a brief stint at Lehman Brothers, where my timing was quite poor as I started there in the summer of 2008 before it all went wrong a few weeks later!
I grew up in Staffordshire and read Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh, as well as gaining an MBA from London Business School.
“I was lucky enough to go to watch the England cricket team win the Ashes in Australia at the end of 2010 and early 2011. After they won in Melbourne, I got randomly interviewed by a camera crew as they wanted to get the opinion of some of the fans. A few hours later, when everyone was waking up in England, my interview was on most news channels for the whole of the next day. I have never felt so popular with texts and emails flying in!”
“The ATG IPO was brilliant to be a part of. The team there have done a magnificent job and worked so hard to grow the business to the position that it is in today. To see the public markets have such a positive view on the business was great to see.”
“The team works collaboratively, both internally and externally, and I really like that everyone is constantly trying to help each other improve. Everyone’s opinions are asked for and valued as soon as you join, and it is honestly good fun working together. In my opinion, enjoying who you work alongside is one of the most fundamental parts of liking your job.”
